In response to your email i would like to make a few comments on the service i received.
I must start by saying that I do not usually respond to customer surveys, i only point this out as i want this to highlight my comments.
Firstly the website:-
I feel that the site was easy to use and very clear on where and what I needed to navigate to and complete. This gives me a good first experience and raises my comfort levels with you as a brand. During the process of me looking for my life insurance I looked at a few of your competitors and i must say that you came out on top for me on the process on your website.
The next element was the customer service team and this is what made me respond to this email.
I had some issues with my premium, when i got through to the legal and general portal for application the premium was different. So i called the customer service team.
I would like to say that the service i received was of a very high standard, the person who dealt with my issues (on several occasions) was Steve Chamberlain. He was extremely helpful and dealt with my problem efficiently, professionally and i must say spoke to me like a human. Some of these customer service desks only know scripted responses it was refreshing to talk to someone who knew their business and knew what to do. Steve, called me back and emailed me several times so that my issue could be resolved. I would like my comments to be included in any annual or career review that Steve may have, if his service is as good as this every day then he should be rewarded for it.
In conclusion, due to the nature of the service i received i will be more that happy to recommend your services to my family, friends and colleagues.
Have always been sceptical of using these sites.
The ones I have used previously ask for your phone number and then for the next 17 years you get calls or spam mail or both.
However, your site was brilliant.
I have had no calls and no spam.
Also I took out life insurance.
Now, I may be a young 50 but the Insurance companies don't know that so I was amazed when I got life cover for the same value, cheaper than 5 years ago.

I found the idol website very straightforward to use, I had an
existing life policy with aviva, but as it runs out in June2010, the
terminal illness cover no longer applies, so I just wanted to extend
this, moneysupermarket gave a much better price for exact same aviva
policy through theidol than going direct, so to save £200 by buying
through theidol was a no brainer.
I even spoke to Aviva (having gone through about 10 levels of
automated menu's pressing x, y z) and they refused to match price, and
said I should buy it through theidol !
I found clicking through from theidol website very straightforward,
and didn't have to re-enter the same information more than once, which
I will generally complain about anything, so I think this is pretty
high praise for your website and setup that I can't fault it ;-)

I found the whole experience in purchasing AXA insurance through you very
easy. Also the fact that it was one-fifth the premium that my mortgage
providers insurance agent quoted was excellent. However in this day an age
of electronics, I found it a little frustrating have to wait upto 14 days to
hear if I had been except or not. That aside, I am very pleased with you
service and will not hesitate in using you again.
In a nutshell, I was very impressed with you service.
I particularly liked being updated with regular e-mail throughout the process so during for example, waiting for other agencies to respond, in our case our Doctor. Together with the advice to contact them and give them a 'gentle prompt.'

Finally adding another 40K from our previous policy (and being the wrong side of 50!) I would was expecting the policy to be in excess of double our old one. Not so, a mere £1 more a month. Incidently, the company recommended by our mortgage provider was about 2.5 times than the one we accepted.
