On Monday the 14th May 2012 theidol.com launched a new Travel Insurance engine which enables customers who have pre-existing medical conditions to get a comparative quotation which covers those conditions. The system which works in conjunction with Healix, utilising their Medical Risk Assesment Tools will make it far easier for customers with pre-existing medical conditions to compare quotations for Travel Insurance. The technical department at theidol.com has recently given the website a complete overhaul. As well as bringing the site design up to date they have also implemented a lot of new technologies such as JQuery in the functionality of the site and quote engines. We hope you like the new look and feel, and the new functionality should make navigating and using the site much easier.

Today theidol.com have added a new LV= Life Insurance product to their quotation engine. The new LV= Online Life Insurance product enables a customer to get a quote for and apply for Level Term Life Insurance and Decreasing Mortgage Life Insurance Online. In many cases they will get an acceptance online and can start the policy straight away. The intelligent system is also able to apply automatic loadings based upon health questions which the applicant answers, without involving a manual underwriting process. LV= joins Bright Grey and Aviva online applications on theidol.com's company panel, and there are expected to be at least two more companies joining this list in the next few months.

theidol.com have recently begun quoting both Fortis and Pru Protect Life Insurance products on their website. Both Fortis and Pru-Protect are being offered via a telephone application service.

theidol.com has launched an full apply online service in conjunction with Norwich Union's Simplified Life Insurance product. Customers can get a quote for Level Term and Mortgage Decreasing Term products from our website, they are then transferred across to Norwich Unions website (without re-entering their details) where they can apply online, and in most cases policies are accepted and put on risk at the end of the application. This great new product is not only quicker to apply for but also offers unique premium rates to the customer, which of course we discount by the way of a commission rebate.

theidol.com have expanded the teleunderwriting service to now include Norwich Union. Norwich Union have worked with us to provide a service like the one we launched with Legal and General earlier in the year.

Legal and General and theidol.com have brought a new service to life insurance in the form of teleunderwriting. Simply request a quote, and if it is suitable you can choose to answer about 5 additional questions, one of which is to make an appointment for a telephone call. You will be then rung at your chosen time by a legal and general operator who will complete your application over the phone.

As you maybe able to tell we have recently given our website a bit of a make over. We have introducted a new tabbed menu system which has created much more space on the page, and we have given our home page a bit of a polish with some colourfull images.

We have been building on the panel of insurers for our car insurance since its launch last year. We now boast a large range of insurers and brokers and there are more to come. In the next few months we will see The AA, QuoteA, Hastings and MyMotorQuote added to the system. More recently we have added Kwik Fit Insurance and 1stQuote to our panel.

On 29th September 2005 we launched our new car insurance quotation engine. The system which uses quote-link technology allows the user to fill in just one form and receive car insurance quotes from a wide range of the broker and insurer market. theidol.com have added Insure & Go to their panel of travel insurance provider. Insure & Go provide single trip and annual multi-trip cover as well as winter sports insurance.

theidol.com have launched their new travel insurance quotes engine. The system takes a minimum of information from the customer before presenting them with a comparative quotation for travel insurance sourced from four different providers. theidol.com team are currently working to add further providers to the system in the coming months.

The updated system can now quote in less than half the time of the old system. Quote-Link is currently used to quote our Life Insurance and Longterm Income Protection Products.

theidol.com recently launched a Whole of Life Insurance product which is quote using the quote-link system. Long Term Income Protection has now been given the instant quotation treatment as it now boasts use of the quote-link system.

theidol.com have launched an on-line policy tracking system for our Life Insurance customers. With this new system our customers will be able to track the status of their application at any time of day or night! Customers can read emails which have been sent or received and even see if any further action is required.

theidol.com has a brand new logo & look. Our site has been redesigned and is easier to use than ever before. Two new features have been added to the quote-link Life Insurance quotation engine, firstly we now display all of the quotation results instead of just the top three, giving you more choice when it comes to choosing your insurer. We now also quote both Guaranteed and Reviewable rates where available. Another breakthrough is the introduction of Downloadable PDF application packs. This helps to reduce the time it takes for an application to be made.
