We are looking for a dynamic and experienced software tester to join our team in Penrith. The candidates must be adaptable to work in a range of different testware technologies, having an aptitude for both manual and automated testing, including but not limited to planning, designing & running of test scripts, analysing data and reporting of results.

Reporting to the Test Manager, a software tester holds responsibility for aspects of application testing, defect tracking and resolution for new and existing developments as well as assisting with the production of high‐level application documentation.

Duties & Responsibilities

The key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Producing, maintaining and improving testing plans and test result reporting.
  • Tracking and reporting on fixes.
  • Ensuring solutions are delivered that meet or exceed customer and stakeholder expectations.
  • Responsible for Accessibility, Usability and Inclusion testing the solutions delivered by the development team.
  • Identification and resolution of defects.
  • Working alongside DevOps and Development to create, embed and evolve automated testing processes within the software development lifecycle.
  • Communicating testing methodologies and strategy to a range of team members.

Deliverables

  • Maintain a working knowledge of the organisation’s ongoing projects and developments.
  • Where necessary, work with internal/external auditors, affiliates or third-party partners to effectively outline and communicate the organisation’s testing standards, policies and procedures.
  • Develop and continually refine automated testing processes.

Prerequisites

  • Experience of programming - in one or more programming language, not necessarily in a web technology.
And/or:
  • Employment that included an element of software testing or qualifications in software testing.
