Team Idol are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Business Analyst to join our team with remote or flexible home/office working supported.

The successful candidate will require excellent analytical and communications skills as they will work closely with business partners and our internal teams to improve business processes, gather requirements and along with the Product Owner, transform these into Backlog items which can then be used by the Development teams to deliver iterative value. They will support a team of Business Analysts with day-to-day activities, encourage personal development and champion best practice.

Responsibilities include:
  • Working with Stakeholders and Product Owners to elicit business requirements.
  • Facilitating workshops and driving Backlog refinement sessions to break down user stories, write acceptance criteria and create additional assets when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Solutions Architects and Development team to determine requirements and consider impact assessments.
  • Work with the Product Owner and Development teams to ensure clarity of value and priority.
  • Support the Development team throughout the sprint to ensure the solution meets customer needs and quality expectations.
In addition to the BA responsibilities above, as a Lead BA the role will also include:
  • Acting as a mentor and discipline lead to other members of the Business Analyst team to further develop knowledge and expand the analytical techniques/skill set to deliver consistent quality and results.
  • Support in performance management activities in conjunction with the Business Analyst line managers and nurture an environment where growth is encouraged.
  • Defining and implementing best practice to bring consistency and collaboration across the teams and add value to the Agile delivery process.

Experience

To be successful in this role you'll need to

  • Be an experienced Lead/Senior BA with proven experience of leading and managing a team in a software delivery environment is essential.
  • Previous experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment is essential.
  • Previous exposure to Insurance Products and Platforms is desired.
General
  • Experience of using Jira, Miro, Visio and MS Office tools is desired.
  • This is a full-time Monday to Friday role with flexible working of 7.5 hours a day.
  • Remote or flexible home/office working supported.
