Responsibilities include

  • Create digital marketing strategies that deliver the objectives set in the overall marketing strategy.
  • Drive customer acquisition to bring scale and to meet targets across all different product channels.
  • Track, monitor and report on performance daily to react to shifts and developing trends.
  • Ensure user behaviour is assessed to identify pain points and opportunities to differentiate.
  • Implement strategies to improve user satisfaction and sales conversion across all user touchpoints.
  • Manage day-to-day planning and delivery of the digital marketing strategy.
  • Own, develop and manage PPC accounts and ad campaigns with emphasis on continued refinement.
  • Implement digital marketing activity, including SEO, social media, retargeting and growth channels.
  • Create compelling, SEO-rich content tailored to different trading brands and target markets.
  • Drive organic search growth with content based on available data sources.
  • Responsibility for social media strategy and planning across trading brands.
  • Represent The Idol at external events and networking opportunities.
  • Support development of action strategies, including events, awards and corporate responsibility.
  • Work closely alongside creatives and copywriters to develop trading brands and ad campaigns.
  • Work closely alongside compliance, ensuring all promotional content follows compliance procedures.
  • Provide recommendations for growth opportunities and innovations.
  • Provide regular reporting, translating data into digestible summaries and recommendations.
  • Build relationships with internal and external clients / agencies / third-party suppliers.

  • Excellent communication skills – providing verbal and written communication that is outstanding to both direct reports and senior management as well as other stakeholders.
  • Flexible and adaptable – capable of changing direction where required and showing flexibility to meet new demands.
  • Strong analytical and excellent execution capability – confident with data to assess performance, identify issues and new value opportunities.
  • Experience of high volume digital transactional environments (highly desirable) and delivery of projects that transform experience and commercial value in the online channels.
  • Experience using digital optimisation and tools such as session recording and web analytics.
  • Driven by delivery - Is able to self-manage workload and continually meet agreed deadlines
  • Multi-tasking – is able to manage several concurrent projects and prioritise demands.
  • Solid people skills – an approachable and friendly individual who provides direction, monitors performance and builds a positive and active working environment.
  • Thrives on change, showing an impressive ability to drive Agile Operational Strategy forward.
  • Summarise direct sales activity and conversion improvement updates in weekly performance slides.
  • Manage PPC campaigns day-to-day in line with the agreed marketing budget.
  • Develop content in accordance with deliverables set out in marketing content plan.
